About Jocelyn Valencia
Jocelyn Valencia RN, MSN is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Extern, in pursuit of her DNP, working under the supervision of Dr. Eilis Clark. Jocelyn has worked throughout the medical field while serving in the Air Force, Peace Corps, and then in civilian healthcare facilities in a variety of different specialties and roles. She has found her passion in working with the behavioral health community, as it offers her the opportunity to work with an underserved population here at home. She prioritizes a person-centered holistic approach, utilizing trauma-informed care principles for every client while combining a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the needs of each individual client.
Jocelyn is a big believer in everyone could benefit from extra support and is a fierce patient advocate for meeting clients where they are at, in a non judgmental way. She also has a passion for patient education and will always endeavor to ensure clients fully understand their treatment options. Her ultimate goal is to make a positive difference in the quality of life of each of her clients and anyone else she might influence.
If you are ready to make a positive change in your life, why wait? Why do it alone? Why not have a little extra support?
We all need it sometimes. Even if you don't need it, let's do it the Air Force way (work smarter not harder).
